Sharing a Collection

Last updated: 2026-09-073 min read
The collection link settings dialog

Inside a collection, press Share. A dialog opens with the link and three settings:

  • Expires in (days) - how many days before the link stops working. Never expires keeps it valid indefinitely.
  • Password - optional. With a password set, the client sees a "Collection is password protected" screen and enters it once.
  • Allow comments - the switch that decides whether the client can write under the properties.

A link with no password and no expiry lives as long as the collection does, and works for everyone the client forwards it to. If the collection holds properties that outsiders should not see, set a password or an expiry.

Two more actions in the same dialog control access afterwards:

  • Regenerate - issues a new link. The old one stops working, so whoever already has it will not open the collection.
  • Revoke access - switches the link off entirely.

What the client sees and can do

The client opens the collection without signing in to the cabinet and sees only the list of properties. The activity and collaborators tabs are not shown to them.

If comments are allowed, there is a message field under the properties. The client can also press Request a viewing and leave a name, phone, email and a comment.

Comments and viewing requests come back into the collection itself rather than to your inbox. The discussion stays next to the property it is about, and you and the collaborators can see it.

Collaborators

When two people build the collection together, invite your colleague on the Access tab: the Invite by email button, then the role.

RoleWhat they can do
ViewerOnly look at the list and the discussion
CommenterLook and write in the discussion

An invited person is first Invited and becomes Active once they accept. The Activity tab shows who added, removed or commented on what, and when.

What the client seesWhat happened
"Collection is password protected"You set a password; send it to the client separately
"Wrong password"The password was mistyped, or you changed it
"The link has expired"The expiry you set has passed; regenerate the link
"Collection not found or access revoked"Access was revoked, the link was regenerated, or the collection was deleted
"This item is no longer available"The property was unpublished or deleted; the collection itself still works
